I admire Nelson Mandela because he demonstrated to us that there is nothing impossible. He taught us that we can achieve every single goal we have, that the violence is not a way to resolve a problem because there are other methods and he showed us that the most powerful weapon in the world is education. I also admire the patience that he had when he was in prison and the way that he controlled this situation.

Vacation Trip

Last month Leonardo and I spent a few days in Guanajuato.  We arrived to Guanajuato at night. We stayed in the hotel Holiday Inn and the first thing that we did was visit down town and also we had dinner there. The next day we spent all day in a tour called “La Ruta de la Independencia”, it was an amazing trip because we learned a lot about the history of our country. When we arrived at the hotel we were very tired so we go to sleep early. All of we did in this trip was visiting historical places. In our opinion Guanajuato is a beautiful and interesting city.

Helloooooooooooooo everyone! My name is Gerardo Bastidas, I’m 18 years old, I was  born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa on January 25^th, I have lived all my life there, and I’ve never get bored of it, I could spent all my life in Mazatlan, but now I’m living in Monterrey because I started  to study  Financial Management this semester in Tecnologico de Monterrey.

I still have my parents, one brother, and one sister; I also have a dog called Bono. Actually my parent’s still living in Mazatlan. My father’s name is Adrian Bastidas, he’s an architect and my mother’s name is Martha, she’s a housewife, my brother also is called Adrian and he is living in Culiacan where he’s working with my dad and finally my sister Paulina who is studying here in Monterrey in UDEM, now I’m living with her.

I’m really happy with this decision that I made, to come to Monterrey to study my career. I made this decision without any pressure of my parents because they always give me all their support in every decision that I made until now.
